Adult Education - Classes held Sunday mornings 9am-10amExploring the Gospels Back by popular demand to lead this class is Dick Brown. The class will delve into that part of the New Testament which we know as the Gospels---Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. We will discuss the overall background of such writings---what they are, and what they are not. Why four gospels? Why not more? Why not just one? Who decided, and how? We will examine each one’s unique contributions, and at the same time see how they relate to each other. Who wrote them? When, and why? Based on what knowledge and background? How are they alike? How are they different? Our goal will be to gain a greater appreciation for our gospels and at the same time gain a better perspective on what each truly means for us in our faith journey.
