Pastor's Corner

|
As the oldest Presbyterian Church in Nebraska,
situated in the oldest city in Nebraska, First Presbyterian Church has been a vital part
of Bellevue since the 1850's. We now look forward toward the new century with
anticipation for continued service in spreading the Gospel of Jesus Christ to those who
are our neighbors locally and globally. Our goal is to be the church in all
circumstances of life.

Therefore:
- In our worship services we want to meet the various needs of those who
call First Presbyterian Church their home, those who are seeking a church home, and those
who have no church home.
- In our Christian education we strive to have a Bible-literate
congregation, eager to explore the scriptures for guidance in their lives.
- In our membership we have a greater awareness of other cultures because
many of us have a military background. Because of our varied international
experiences, we reach out to the growing presence of immigrants in Bellevue.
In Summary, we seek to become effective in our efforts to fulfill the
Great Commission given to us by Christ, "Go forth and make disciples of all
nations." (Matthew 28:19)
